Whare Awhina is a modern, multi‑purpose community room located in the heart of the Kanae Way complex. Completed in 2025, this warm and inviting space is designed to support events for residents and the surrounding community. It is free to hire and suitable for both regular groups and one‑off events.

Location / Directions
Enter Kanae Way from Kauika Road and veer right at the fork (Building 3 will be directly in front of you). The community room is on your left, near car park 33.

Viewing the Space
The room is part of a visible residential complex and can be easily viewed from outside. If you’d like to get a sense of the size and layout, feel free to visit the site at any time—there’s no need to arrange a separate viewing.

Community gatherings, classes (dance, cooking, training), huis, celebrations such as birthdays, youth groups, play groups, and similar activities.

Important Information

• Alcohol‑free venue

• No TV or projector provided

• Decorations allowed using Blu Tack only (no pins, staples, or tape)

• No confetti, rice, or party poppers outside

• All rubbish must be removed

• All items brought in must be taken away by the end of your booking

• External event hire companies are welcome

• Please book enough time for set‑up, pack down, and cleaning, as the room may be used before or after your booking

• No on‑site parking available—please use nearby street parking
