Te Whare o Tukua o Punga is a modern community room located in the centre of the Papa Tōtara Loop complex. Completed in 2024, it’s a warm, bright, multi‑purpose space suitable for both regular groups and one‑off events. The room is free to hire and available for community use.

Ideal for

Community gatherings, classes (dance, cooking, training), huis, celebrations, youth groups, play groups, and similar activities.

• 15 seated at tables

• Approx. 11 power points (bring extension leads)

• 1 trestle table (8‑person)

• 1 round table (6‑person)

• 2 children’s folding picnic tables with seats

• 10 heavy‑duty stackable chairs

• Hot plate BBQ

• Cleaning equipment

Kitchen

Available for self‑catering. Includes:
Sink, small fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, oven, stovetop, microwave, and BBQ. Some cutlery, crockery, glassware, and basic cooking/serving items are provided.

Important Information

• Alcohol‑free venue

• No TV or projector provided

• Decorations allowed using Blu Tack only (no pins, tape, or anything that damages walls)

• No confetti, rice, or party poppers outside

• All rubbish must be removed

• All items brought in must be taken away by the end of your booking

• Book enough time for set‑up and cleaning, as the room may be used before or after your slot

• External event hire companies are welcome

Booking Process

1. Submit your booking request.

2. A team member will review and notify you once accepted.

3. You’ll then be contacted to arrange an induction before your event, including key handover and return.

4. All communication will come via SpaceToCo messaging unless you provide a preferred phone number or email.
