Taparoto is a modern, multi‑purpose community room completed in 2023. It’s warm, bright, and located in the heart of Puriri Park Road. The space is free to hire and suitable for both regular groups and one‑off events.
Ideal for
Community gatherings, classes (dance, cooking, training), film screenings, huis, celebrations, youth groups, play groups, and similar activities.

Alcohol‑free venue
No TV or projector provided
Decorations allowed using Blu Tack only (no pins, staples, or tape). Hooks available on one internal and one external wall.
No confetti, rice, or party poppers outside
All rubbish must be removed
All items brought in must be taken away by the end of your booking
Book enough time for set‑up and cleaning, as the room may be used before or after your slot
External event hire companies are welcome

Booking Process
Submit your booking request.
A team member will review and notify you once accepted.
You’ll then be contacted to arrange an induction before your event, including key handover and return.
All communication will come via SpaceToCo messaging unless you provide a preferred phone number or email.

Taparoto Community Room – Space Rules
Leave the premises as you found it.
No alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping on the premises.
Be considerate of neighbours; keep noise and music to a reasonable level.
This is a no‑violence, no‑shouting environment. Verbal abuse of any kind is not tolerated.
No naked flames.
If the fire alarm is triggered, you may be liable for any fire service call‑out fees.
No gang insignia.
Do not use Sellotape, pins, tacks, nails, or anything that damages walls. Blu Tack only.
Remove all decorations, strings, and Blu Tack before leaving.
Report any damage to Kainga Ora as soon as possible.
Take all rubbish with you when you leave.
Do not dig or damage the grounds.
No overnight stays.
If the community room car parks are full, do not park elsewhere in the complex.
No pets allowed.

The room has 4 free private car parking spaces, that are first come first serve to users of the room. If these car parks are full, please park on the road and do not park within the Puriri Park Road development as these parks are required for residents. There is lots of free on street parking on Puriri Park road, and you can walk through Puriri Park to the community room.
